Just Say “No”

I would guess about now all of us have had questions and doubts coming to our minds! The enemy will take every opportunity to make us question God’s love for us, and he will certainly make the most of this situation.

I was thinking about how easy it is for us to just say “no” to certain things. For instance, after a nice dinner out, sometimes the waiter will offer a cup of coffee. Since I am a non-coffee drinker, I have no problem saying, “No, thank you.”

When Nancy Reagan was in the White House, one of her projects was the war against drugs. Her slogan became, “Just say ‘no!’”

So during this time, let’s just say “no!” to the thought the enemy tries to plant in our minds! It doesn’t even have to be a polite “No, thank you!” but maybe just a loud “NO!”

And let’s replace those thoughts with God’s Word.

In Jeremiah 31:3 God says that He has loved us with an everlasting love. That means a love that is eternal and never fails.

Or what about Romans 8:35 that says no one or nothing can separate us from God’s love for us. I’m pretty sure that means all we are going through right now!

And what about John 3:16? Probably the most memorized verse in the Bible! God so loved the world that He gave the greatest gift He could ever give: the gift of His one and only Son so that we can have eternal life.

So, the next time the enemy tempts you with thoughts that God doesn’t love you or even care about what you ae going through, you remind him of how much your Heavenly Father really cares for you!
