Psalm 91

The most familiar and loved of all the Psalms is probably Psalm 23. But I also love Psalm 91. I love the entire chapter, but the last three verses are my favorite!

Verse 14 says God will deliver us. We need to remember that God will set us free from whatever is troubling us.

Verse 15 says He will be with us in trouble, He will rescue us and honor us. Do you ever experience those times when it seems like everywhere you turn there is trouble? There is such comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father is with us in those times of trouble.

And then it says He rescues us. He delivers us from danger or evil. There are certain times in my life when I am absolutely sure that God has “rescued” me from something. It might be when I almost had an accident or something else. But I know God kept me from danger.

And then it goes on to say that He will honor us. Honor means to highly esteem someone. It is so humbling to think that God would love us so much that He would highly esteem us.

And if all that weren’t enough, it concludes with verse 16. “With long life will I satisfy Him, and let him behold My salvation.”
