Say the Word

In Luke 7:7, a centurion came to Jesus and asked Jesus to heal his servant. But he didn’t ask him to come to his house. He only asked Jesus to “give the order” or “say the word” and he believed his servant would be healed.

This was a man who knew the power of authority. He understood what was behind Jesus’s words.

When Jesus spoke, even the winds and the waves had to obey Him. As believers, we have been given that same authority. And it’s not because of anything we can do on our own. It’s because of what Jesus did at the cross.

When we are facing the storms of life, let’s remember that we have that same authority in the name of Jesus. We are children of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
