God’s Own Purchased Special People

In the world we are living in, we can become easily distracted. Sometimes we can even take for granted all that God has done for us!

1 Peter 2:9 (Amp) says, “We are God’s own purchased, special people…Who have been called out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

Think about what this means to us. God bought us through the death of His Son, Jesus. He calls us special or exceptional. He takes us out of darkness and sin and brings us into light and fellowship with Him. And the light He brings us into is not just any light – it’s marvelous, wonderful, extraordinary light.

Let’s take a moment and remember that because of Jesus, we have salvation and eternal life. And let’s rejoice that we are God’s own purchased, special people!
