God is in Control

The Book of Proverbs is a “Book of Inspiration”! In verse after verse, we find something we can learn from and hold on to.

For instance, Proverbs 16:33 says, “The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.” That is a reminder to us that God is in control.

When things happen in our lives that we don’t understand, it’s easy to begin to question and ask “why?” But if we grab hold of this truth and remind ourselves that God is still in control, we will be okay. In fact, we will be better than okay!

I remember years ago when our youngest daughter was in high school, every day I would watch as she drove away from the house and I would pray over her. We were leaving town for a few days and I remember thinking, “Who is going to do this without me here?” And God gently reminded me that she was in His hands! There’s not a better place for her to be!

Here's the key: can we release everything and trust that God is in control? When we can do that, we can rest assured that He will provide, protect, and take care of us!

There’s no better comfort than knowing God is in control and every decision is from the Lord!
