Grace and Peace

“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.” 2 Peter 1:2

What a wonderful word Peter gives us in this verse. Grace and peace are ours through Jesus! His grace and peace are with us all the time. It doesn’t matter what may be going on around us, we can still have God’s grace and peace.

What I love about God’s peace, is that there are no limits on it. He doesn’t have an abundance of peace for us one day and then the next day it’s gone. The grace and peace that Jesus gives has an abundant supply.

Think about the times when you have experienced God’s peace. I was thinking of a time when I was on a beach watching the waves rolling in. In that moment, watching God’s beautiful creation, I had such a sense of God’s peace.

But God’s peace is not only in those quiet moments. He can give us peace in the middle of the greatest chaos. He can bring us peace on our most difficult days. And not just a little bit—but He has an abundance of grace and peace for His children.
