In God’s Hands

I am so blessed to have been raised in a Christian home. My parents taught me at an early age to trust and believe in Jesus. They taught me how to pray and the importance of reading God’s Word.

One of the benefits of having godly parents, is that even though they are now in Heaven, I have their Bibles, journals and handwritten notes. I love reading these! I can’t begin to describe the blessings they have been in my life.

One of the things my dad wrote was “I am in God’s hands.” I have no idea what might have been going on when he wrote this.

He was a chief in the Dallas Fire Department. He served on the city council and church boards. Any of those things could be challenging. It might have been something personal or maybe something our family was going through.

But this is what I know for sure. My dad knew he was safe and secure because he trusted in his Heavenly Father.

There’s not a safer place we could ever be than in “God’s hands.”
