Does God Really Have A Plan For Me?

Last Christmas, I had an interesting experience of meeting a mom and her son. They were visiting our church. I had never met them before and I have since lost touch with them.

Their story was very sad. He didn’t know that his mom had shared their story with me. She told me that right before Christmas her husband had been killed. Sadly, it was by her son who was defending her because the dad was beating the mom. Had he not stepped in, she would have been killed.

As I looked at that young man, I told him that God has an incredible plan for his life. His response was, “Are you sure?” And I said, “Absolutely!”

I may never see that young man again, but I have never stopped praying for him!

There is one thing that I am absolutely sure of! God has a plan for each one of us!

Jeremiah 1:5 says, “I knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb.”

Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

So YES! God does have a plan! And it’s a really good plan!
