The Little Things

I was recently thinking back over my life and thinking of the times God has answered prayer for me. There are so many “big” prayers that God has answered! But what about the little things?

For some reason, as I was thinking back, I remembered this one particular time.

It was several years ago and we were getting ready to go to Washington D.C. We had been invited to the White House for a National Day of Prayer event! I was so excited!

Now being a woman, of course, I was thinking about what I would wear!

At the time, we had a retired minister in our church. One Sunday, he handed me a small amount of money as a gift. I felt so blessed and I used it to buy the perfect outfit to wear to the White House, a red dress.

Now that might not mean much to you. I realize what we wear is not the most important thing in life, but it has always been a reminder to me about how much God cares about every detail in our lives.

I encourage you today to take a moment and look back. Thank God for the “big” things but also remember to thank Him for the “not so big” things that He has done for you! Remember all the times that God has been faithful! He really is a good Heavenly Father!
