Salvation For Israel

In Romans 10:1 (MSG), the Apostle Paul writes, “Believe me, friends, all I want for Israel is what’s best for Israel: salvation, nothing less. I want it with all my heart and pray to God for it all the time.”

This was written so long ago, and yet it is still true today! What do we want most for Israel? Salvation! And like Paul, we should be praying for Israel all the time!

Down through history, Israel has suffered persecution. In Genesis 12:2-3 God is speaking to Abraham, “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

There’s a powerful truth in those verses. It’s very specific. We will be blessed if we bless Israel and cursed if we do not. I think it’s a reminder to all of us as believers that we should stand with Israel, pray for Israel, and believe for the salvation of Israel!
