When You Pass Through the Water
As believers and followers of Jesus, it’s hard for us to understand when we go through trials and difficult situations. Sometimes we can become overwhelmed with life and all that is going on around us.
In those times, it’s important that we turn to God’s Word. One of my favorite passages of scripture is Isaiah 43:1-3.
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you, I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
“For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.”
It’s important to remember that it says, “we will pass through the waters and the rivers and walk through the fire.” It doesn’t say we will escape these things. But what it does say is that we will not be conquered by the water or burned by the fire!
And then He says that He is our Lord, our God, and our Savior!
If you are going through a trial or facing a difficult situation, I encourage you to lean on Him and let God carry you through! He is more than enough!
