My Prayer Journal

I love keeping a prayer journal! When I’m reading the Bible, I write down verses that are meaningful to me. Sometimes, I will write down something I read in a devotional book.

A friend gave me a prayer journal a few years ago that I really treasure. Of course, it has plenty of room to write down my thoughts, but this one has something extra. At the bottom of each page, it has a personalized verse with my name in it.

Verses like:

“Behold, Claudia, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go.”

Genesis 28:15

“Claudia, do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, Claudia, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31

There is something so powerful about reading a verse of scripture that is personalized like that. When I am reading God’s Word, I want to be intentional and remember that we serve a very personal God and He has a very personal “word” for us every day!
