Understanding

Do you ever wish you had a greater understanding of things? Wouldn’t it be great if things were easier to figure out?

Proverbs 28:5 says, “He that seeks the Lord understands all things.”

There are two important words in this verse. They are “understand” and “seek.” The word “understand” means to grasp the meaning and to have the full knowledge of something. The word “seek” means to go in search of something.

When we put this altogether, the verse says that if we go in search of the Lord, we will grasp the meaning of and have full knowledge of all things.

What is the best way to go in search of the Lord? I believe it’s when we choose to set aside time to spend with Him. It’s the time when we study God’s Word and when we spend time praying, talking to God and listening to what He has to say to us.

I desire this in my own life. I plan on seeking Him, spending more time with Him and then I will have a greater understanding of all things.
