These Who Have Turned the World Upside Down

I love to read God’s Word in different translations. I think there is so much we can learn by reading various versions of the Bible. But there are times that I just love how the King James phrases a verse.

Acts 17:6 is one of those verses. To put this in context, the Jews who did not believe, were in an “uproar” against Paul, Silas, and Jason. Their complaint was, “These that have turned the world upside down have come hither also.” Acts 17:6

Apparently, these men sent by God, had really stirred things up! But that’s not all bad. They were sent on a mission to spread the Gospel. And by that process, we received much of the New Testament, written by Paul.

In thinking about this, I was wondering what this would be like in today’s world? What if we became more passionate about spreading the Good News of God’s love? If all of us became more intentional, what might happen?

I think I would like to be included with those early believers! I want to see a move of God that would “turn the world upside down” and see many souls come into the Kingdom!
