They Had Been With Jesus

“When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and took note that these men had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13 (NIV)

This is such a powerful verse. Just to think what it must have been like to be in the presence of Jesus! And yet, we too, have the same opportunity. Even though Jesus is no longer on this earth, when we spend time with Him in prayer and reading God’s word, our lives can be radically changed as well.

We may feel like we are very “ordinary” but there is something that happens when we spend time with Him. We are changed by just being in His presence.

“We are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like Him.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (MSG)

Reading these verses of scripture make me desire more than ever, to spend time in His presence. Then others will know, that I have been with Jesus.
