Unshakeable Kingdom

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28,29

The Message paraphrase reads like this:

“Do you see what we’ve got? An unshakeable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He’s actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won’t quit until it’s all cleansed. God himself is Fire!”

Reading these verses fill me with a sense of excitement and expectancy!

Just to think that the Creator of the Universe is not an indifferent bystander! He is actively involved in our lives. He is working!

But most of all, I love that we are a part of a kingdom that cannot be shaken! It is “unshakeable”! Even when everything around us may be moving and changing, we remain steady and unmovable because we are a part of a kingdom that cannot be shaken! Don’t ever forget this truth!
